| How does Team Double-Click® stack up against Independent Virtual Assistants? |
|
Team Double-Click® |
Independent Virtual Assistant |
Pricing |
Always the same price for the same set of tasks. Our pricing starts at $24.86 per hour. |
Pricing all over the board. Each individual virtual assistant has different pricing structures. Some will be $20/hour, some $50/hour, some $75/hour – for the same tasks. |
Skills and experience |
At Team Double-Click®, all virtual assistants are sent through the same interview and skills testing process. Only those who pass this process receive our seal of approval and are allowed to work with our clients. |
Skills, experience, and quality are all over the board. There is no one company/entity who actually screens for skills and quality. |
Stability |
Team Double-Click® has been in business since 2000. We bring experience, longevity, and stability to the table. |
Varies widely. Many new virtual assistants come into the industry daily, so many are very new to virtual assisting. |
Quality |
Team Double-Click’s virtual assistant interviewing and screening process is the best in the industry. All virtual assistants are quality-checked and come with our stamp of approval. This system has been five years in the making and perfected through time and trial. |
Varies. Team Double-Click® turns away a whopping 80% of the potential virtual assistants it interviews. As a client, expect the same ratios when interviewing on your own. |
Getting a return call |
Team Double-Click® guarantees a return call or email (respectively according to client wishes) within 3 business hours. We’ve lost count of the number of clients who have come to Team Double-Click® surprised that someone returned their call because “the first 10 virtual assistant companies I tried never answered the phones and never called me back.” |
Our experience shows that with independent virtual assistants, when they hit that point of being “full” on hours, they also quit returning potential client calls and emails. Imagine you referring a client to an independent virtual assistant and the client never getting a return call. |
Money back guarantee |
Team Double-Click® offers its clients a 30-day money-back guarantee on work performed. |
No |
Support staff |
Team Double-Click® staffs as many as 30 people whose sole job it is to keep things ticking along well between client and virtual assistant. Clients have a third party to come to if there are problems. Additionally, if there is a problem with the virtual assistant, we take care of dismissing her and locating another virtual assistant. |
With an independent virtual assistant, the client is forced to confront the virtual assistant and “manage” her himself – there’s no one to go to if there are problems and no one but the client to spend time seeking out another virtual assistant. |
Free training time |
At Team Double-Click® every client gets 2 hours of free orientation/training time with every virtual assistant. |
Most independent virtual assistants do not allow a client free orientation time – time for the client to show the virtual assistant how he likes things done in his business. With independent virtual assistant services you’re generally on the clock immediately. |
Referral fees |
At Team Double-Click® if you refer a client to us, we pay you a 5% referral fee. That new client in turn can register as a referral partner as well. If he does, he will receive 5% of the gross sales for anyone he refers. |
Each virtual assistant is independent of one another so there is no way to offer an incentive of this nature to a client. |
Interviewing, skills testing, selection |
At Team Double-Click® we interview our virtual assistants and either deny them or place our seal of approval on them. Next, we train each virtual assistant to take her excellent bricks-and-mortar skills and put them to work for you – virtually. We then sit down one-on-one with our clients to determine what tasks you need to have done and what skills you need in a virtual assistant. We then do the legwork (free) of locating the best fit and then assign the virtual assistant to you, the client. Thus saving you countless hours of hassle. |
You can locate a virtual assistant by doing an internet search for “virtual assistant” or you can go to an association who will give you a list of virtual assistants and it’s the clients’ job to sift through them all to find one that a. returns his call, b. has time available, c. has a price he likes, d. has the skills he needs.
|
Number of virtual assistants and capacity |
With Team Double-Click®, we have an unlimited supply of virtual assistants and can, at the drop of a hat, bring in additional virtual assistants or alternate virtual assistants. Check our ticker above for our current number of virtual assistants on board. |
Each independent virtual assistant, once full-up on hours, has no means to service more clients. When they’re full, they’re done. In other words, they do not have scalability. As of March 2008, the top two virtual assistant associations have a mere 1,121 virtual assistants combined. |

Varies. |
Training |
Team Double-Click® puts each and every virtual assistant through the same virtual assistant and real estate virtual assistant training and demands that they pass successfully prior to being placed with a client. |
Varies. Very few standardized virtual assistant training courses exist for independent virtual assistants to take. |
Retainer fees |
Team Double-Click® never requests a retainer fee from its clients. |
Many virtual assistants demand a “retainer” fee with the client. If the retainer amount is not utilized during the course of the month it’s lost. |
Pay before the work is done |
Team Double-Click® bills its clients only after the work is done – never before. |
Varies. Some independent virtual assistants demand payment upfront, some do not. |
Client pays benefits (health insurance, vacation time, sick pay, etc.) |
Never |
Generally no. |
Pay only for what you use |
Yes. Team Double-Click® virtual assistants time the work they do for you right down to the minute and you’re billed only after the work is done. |
Varies. See above with regards to retainer fees. Additionally, some independent virtual assistants round to the nearest 5 minutes or the nearest 15 minutes. |
